Pennsauken Halloween Home Decorating Contest
DEADLINE EXTENDED!!!
Halloween 2023 is coming and Pennsauken’s Department of Parks and Recreation would like to recognize the very best – and spookiest – decorations throughout Pennsauken. As you get ready to start hanging cobwebs, skeletons, and the like, we want you to know that there could be a reward for your efforts!
A team of guys and ghouls will be creeping around town to locate the most impressive expressions of Halloween spirit Pennsauken has to offer. In order for your decorated home to be considered for the contest, you must submit your address using the form below.
Each judging team will perform “street view” evaluations of your home for creativity, spookiness, and general appeal. This year, there are three judging categories:
- Goosebumps Award (Scariest/Spookiest Home)
- Creepy Chronical Award (Best Overall Theme)
- All-Hallows Award (Best Traditionally Decorated Home)
There will also be the "Pumpkin King" Award, given out to the best decorated home overall.
Submissions must be received by Friday, Oct. 20.
Winners and runners up will be chosen per category. Photos of the winning homes will be shared via social media and on Pennsauken Television; all houses considered for this competition will be included in both an interactive online map so that residents can enjoy the local Halloween displays.
Help cause some friendly frights throughout our neighborhoods by decorating your home or visiting those who do! For more information, call Pennsauken’s Parks and Recreation Department at (856) 665-1000 x151.
